MAPK pT only Kd factor
From Yeast Pheromone Model
Back to main model page
MAPK_pT_only_Kd_factor = MAPK_pY_only_Kd_factor
Definition
This is the factor by which phosphorylation of Fus3 or Kss1 on just the threonine decreases its affinity for a target, compared to the affinity of doubly phosphorylated Fus3 or Kss1 for that same target.
Kd_MAPKpT_target = MAPK_pT_only_Kd_factor * Kd_MAPKpTpY_target
MAPK_pT_only_Kd_factor > 1 means that MAPKpT binds its targets more weakly than MAPKpTpY.
Source
- Experimentally measured for ERK2pT phosphorylation of MBP and ELK1, and found to be the same as for ERK2pY.
Trust
- Medium
