MAPK pY only Kd factor
From Yeast Pheromone Model
Back to main model page
MAPK_pY_only_Kd_factor = 2
Definition
This is the factor by which phosphorylation of Fus3 or Kss1 on just the tyrosine decreases its affinity for a target, compared to the affinity of doubly phosphorylated Fus3 or Kss1 for that same target.
Kd_MAPKpY_target = MAPK_pY_only_Kd_factor * Kd_MAPKpTpY_target
MAPK_pY_only_Kd_factor > 1 means that MAPKpY binds its targets more weakly than MAPKpTpY.
